Phoenix Optical began in 1930, when Isabel Ascher and her sister Rae Weinberg started designing and handcrafting glasses. What started as a small family passion grew into a legacy that continues to shape eyewear nearly a century later.

For more than four decades, we’ve proudly served the Bay Area. Many of our loyal customers followed us from our original Berkeley shop on Shattuck Avenue to our current Rockridge location in Oakland.
